Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions as per Government of Assam and UGC guidelines.

Required Qualifications

1. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in a concerned/relevant subject.
2. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned or allied/relevant discipline.
3. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of teaching/research/administrative experience in Universities, Colleges or other Higher Education Institutions.
4. Applicants must have administrative experience in academic or educational administration.
5. Candidates should have a minimum API/PBAS score as prescribed by UGC regulations.
6. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided at Graduate and Master’s level for SC/ST/Differently Abled categories as per Government rules.
7. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
8. Applicants should have a minimum research score of 110 as per Appendix-II, Table-2 of UGC Regulations.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 55 years
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules.
