DLSA Assam Driver Recruitment 2026 – Apply for Govt Driver Posts in Assam

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of different Districts of Assam has released an official recruitment advertisement for the engagement of Driver on a contractual basis. Eligible candidates can apply in Standard Form before the last date.

RECRUITMENT OVERVIEW

EDUCATINAL QUALIFICATION

1. Candidates must have passed Class VIII or equivalent examination from a Government recognized Board/Council.
2. Candidates must have passed Class X (HSLC) examination from a recognized Board (For Cachar DLSA only )
3. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (HSSLC) or any higher educational qualification shall not be eligible to apply for the Driver posts under DLSA Recruitment 2026.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

1. Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
2. Must possess a valid LMV Driving Licence issued by competent authority.
3. Driving Licence should be issued at least 3 years before publication of the advertisement ( For Cachar DLSA)
4. Candidate age must be between 18 years and 40 years as on 01-01-2026.
5. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.
6. Candidate must possess valid Employment Registration Certificate issued by Government of Assam.

AGE LIMIT

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules.

IMPORTANT DATES

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process will be conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Driving Test

• Total Marks: 30
• Test Segments: Starting, Driving, Parking, After Driving
• Candidates must secure at least 15 marks to qualify.

Stage 2: Viva-Voce

• Total Marks: 30

Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Driving Test and Viva-Voce.

1. Three recent passport size photographs duly signed on reverse side
2. Self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates
3. Valid LMV Driving Licence
4. Employment Registration Certificate
5. Experience Certificate, if any
6. Age proof certificate
7. NOC from employer (if applicable)

For Dhubri DLSA

Candidates need to submit offline applications in Standard Form as published in Assam Gazette Part-IX along with 3 copies of recent passport size photographs.

Applications may be submitted through:

  The envelope should be superscribed with: “Application for the Post of Driver”

Applications may be submitted personally or through the post box placed at the 1st Floor of the Office of District Legal Services Authority, Cachar.

The envelope must be superscribed with: “Application for the Post of Driver (Contractual)”
