National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship 2026-27 : Apply Online, Get ₹12,000 Scholarship Through NSP
Applications are invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for selected students of the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Scheme for the scholarship session 2026-27. Selected students can get the benefit of Rs. 12,000 per annum under the NMMS Scheme.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP
This NMMS (National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship) Scheme is for students who were selected in the NMMS Examination conducted by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education in the years 2025, 2024, 2023 & 2022

- Students selected in NMMS Exam 2025.
- Students selected in NMMS Exam 2024, 2023, or 2022

HOW TO LOG IN
- NMMS Examination 2025 selected students mustsubmit fresh application on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the scholarship session 2026-27 using their already existed OTR created at the time of Exaamination .
- NMMS students of 2024, 2023, and 2022 must submit their Renewal Application on NSP using their already existed OTR
- Do not create a new/fresh OTR again to apply for the NMMS Scholarship at NSP as you have already created the OTR .

AADHAAR SEEDING WITH BANK ACCOUNT
- Aadhaar seeding with the student's bank account is essential to receive scholarship money through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
- Scholarship amount will be credited to the bank account only after Aadhaar seeding.
- Bank accounts must be mapped at NPCI after Aadhaar seeding.
What Should the Student Do?
- Visit the bank branch (if required) and submit an Aadhaar seeding/application form.
- Check that the bank account is active and the student's name, Aadhaar, and account details match.
- Ensure Aadhaar is linked with the bank account.
What Does the Bank Do?
- Verify Aadhaar seeding.
- Upload/update the Aadhaar mapping in the NPCI database.
- Activate the account for DBT benefits.

- Select the applicable scholarship scheme
- Fill in the required details
- Upload the necessary documents
- Submit the application before 31 August 2026

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
- Use the existing OTR number created during the NMMS Examination application.
- Do not create a fresh OTR for NMMS Scholarship application.
- Ensure Aadhaar is seeded with the bank account.
- Apply through NSP within the prescribed date.
- Complete all verification stages for successful scholarship payment.
- Ensure that the bank account is mapped at NPCI after Aadhaar seeding.
- Incorrect scheme selection or incomplete verification may delay scholarship payment.
