Ishan Uday Scholarship Amount
- Selected students receive ₹8,000 per month for 10 months in a year.
- The scheme provides 10,000 scholarships and divides the slots equally between two broad programme groups: Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law, Management and other programmes, and Science, Engineering & Technology, Medical, Technical, Agriculture and Forestry programmes.
Who Can Apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship?
Educational Qualification
- The student must have passed Class XII or an equivalent examination from a school situated within the North Eastern Region
- Class XII must have been passed from a school situated within NER.
Course Eligibility
- The applicant must be pursuing a recognized UG degree programme.
- The scholarship is available only for the first UG degree. Students who have already obtained a degree are not eligible to apply.
- The student must already have been admitted to the first year of an eligible UG degree programme
- Students must be pursuing the UG programme through Regular/Full-Time mode.
Ishan Uday Income Limit
- The annual income of the student's parents must be below ₹4.50 lakh.
Domicile Requirement
- The student must possess a valid Domicile Certificate of any State of the North Eastern Region (NER).

- Selection is conducted on the basis of state-wise merit among eligible candidates who apply online through the National Scholarship Portal.
