The Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited (AIDC) has invited applications from eligible Food Processing Entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), and Co-operative Societies in Assam under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. Entrepreneurs who have already availed financial assistance under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) can now apply for an additional 35% Capital Subsidy, with financial assistance of up to ₹3 crore, subject to the scheme guidelines. Eligible applicants can submit their applications through the PMFME Portal with support from AIDC, District Industries & Commerce Centres (DICC), and District Resource Persons (DRPs). This initiative aims to strengthen Assam's food processing sector by encouraging investment, modernization, and value addition in micro food processing enterprises.

What is the Scheme About?

Under the PMFME Scheme, eligible food processing units that have already obtained financial assistance under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) can receive an additional 35% Capital Subsidy on the maximum eligible project cost.

The subsidy is available only for projects that comply with the PMFME Scheme guidelines and is aimed at encouraging the growth and modernization of micro food processing enterprises across Assam.
