SALARY
Candidates selected through the SSC SSA/UDC LDCE Recruitment 2026 will be appointed in Pay Level-4 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.
AGE LIMIT
The age limit is not the same for all departments. Candidates must satisfy the age criteria prescribed by their respective cadre/department
- Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service - 50 Years
- Directorate General, Defence Estates - 45 Years
- Other Part icipating Departments - As per departmental eligibility conditions
- AGE RELAXATION is as per Govt Rules
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates must belong to one of the participating Central Government departments/cadres and fulfill the prescribed service requirements as on the crucial date mentioned in the notification.

| Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service | Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/JSA with 5 years of approved continuous service and must have passed the prescribed Typewriting Test. Maximum age: 50 years. |
| Central Administrative Tribunal | Lower Division Clerk with 5 years of regular service. |
| Central Vigilance | Junior Secretariat Assistant with 5 years of regular service in the pay level. |
| Election Commission of India | Junior Secretariat Assistant/Lower Division Clerk with minimum 3 years of regular service in the grade. |
| Forest Survey of India | Lower Division Clerk with 5 years of regular service in the department. |

The selection process consists of:
Part-I: Computer Based Examination (200 Marks)

Paper-II: Descriptive Examination (100 Marks)

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
- Only employees of the participating Central Government departments/cadres are eligible to apply.
- State Government employees, private sector employees, and fresh candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates must fulfill the prescribed service requirement in their respective feeder grade.
- Applications must be submitted online through the SSC website.
- Candidates must have completed One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal before applying.
- Only one application should be submitted. Multiple applications may lead to rejection.
- The printed application form must be forwarded through the Head of Department/Head of Office.
- The examination will be conducted only in Delhi-NCR.
