North Lakhimpur University (NLU), Assam invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Controller of Examinations, Deputy Registrar, Deputy Controller of Examinations, and Finance Officer. Interested candidates can submit their applications in the prescribed format on or before 10 July 2026.

VACANCY DETAILS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Controller of Examinations

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.

Additionally, candidates should fulfill any one of the following criteria:

• At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level-11 and above, or with 8 years of service in Academic Level-12 and above including service as an Associate Professor, along with experience in educational administration.
• OR
• At least 15 years of administrative experience, out of which 8 years must be as Deputy Controller of Examinations or in an equivalent post in a University.
• OR
• Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in conducting or assisting University/College examinations and related administrative works at the executive level.

Skill:

• Candidates must possess working knowledge of Computer Applications, Networking, and ERP Systems.

2. Deputy Registrar

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade

In addition, candidates should satisfy any one of the following conditions:

•  At least 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor or above with 3 years of experience in educational administration.
• OR
• At least 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post.
• OR
• Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher education.

Desirable Qualification

•  Experience in computer applications and e-office systems.

• Experience in establishment, academic, or financial administration in an academic or research organization.

3. Deputy Controller of Examinations

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade

Additionally, candidates should satisfy any one of the following criteria:

•  At least 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level-10 and above with experience in Educational Administration.
• OR
• At least 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post.
• OR
• Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

Desirable Qualification:

•  Experience in conducting or assisting University/College examinations and related administrative work.
• Proficiency in examination computerization and working knowledge of Computers, Networking, and ERP Systems is mandatory.

4. Finance Officer

Candidates must possess a Post-Graduate Degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent CGPA.

Additionally, candidates should fulfill any one of the following criteria:

•  At least 8 years of experience at a management level in Finance and Accounts in a Government Organization, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), or Research Organization.
• OR
• ICWAI/ICAI qualification or MBA (Finance) with at least 5 years of managerial experience in Finance & Accounts in a Government Organization, PSU, or Research Organization.

Desirable Qualification:

• Knowledge of finance, accounts, and store management software.
• Commerce or Finance background at the postgraduate level preferred.
• Prior experience in an educational institution will be given preference

AGE LIMIT

• Age limits are calculated as on 01 July 2026.
