Sports Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying under the NFR Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 must possess the prescribed sports achievements in addition to the required educational qualification. Only achievements earned in recognized championships/events held on or after 01 April 2024 will be considered. The sportsperson must also be an active player at the time of application.
Minimum Sports Norms
For Level 2 & Level 3
- Represented India in Category-B Championships/Events; OR
- Secured at least 3rd position in Category-C Championships/Events; OR
- Secured at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships; OR
- Secured at least 3rd position in National Games; OR
- Secured at least 3rd position in All India Inter-University Championships; OR
- Secured 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
For Level 1
- Represented India in Category-C Championships/Events; OR
- Secured at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category); OR
- Represented a State/Equivalent Unit with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships.
Age Limit
- Age Calculation Date: 01 January 2027.
- Minimum Age - 18 Years (Candidate should be born on or before 01 January 2009 )
- Maximum Age - 25 Years (Candidate should be born on or after 02 January 2002)

Selection Process
