The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong has invited eligible candidates to attend Walk-in Interviews for various contractual positions under academic projects, studio staff, computer typist, and Balvatika. A total of 20 vacancies are available.

1. Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Educational Qualification

Master's Degree with at least 55% marks in the following subjects

• Education (or M.Ed.),
• Psychology 
• Statistics,
• Sociology,
• Social Science,

• Computer Science
• Special Education
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Botany
• Zoology
• Environmental Science

Desirable Qualification

• NET/JRF/Ph.D in Education, Psychology
• Proficiency in Computer Application (DCA/BCA).
• Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, R, or SAS.
• Good communication skills and research experience
• Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research designs.
• Hands-on experience in tool construction, questionnaire development, and field testing.
• Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS and Excel for descriptive statistics, Pearson's Correlation, T-test, ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis.

Salary

• NET/Ph.D. Candidates: ₹37,000 per month
• Non-NET Candidates: ₹35,000 per month

2. Engineer Grade-II

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with specialization in Electronics, Communication, or Information Technology.

Experience

• Three years experience in operations and maintenance of hardware, software, TV and Radio broadcast equipment.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in ICT-based media equipment and broadcast environments.
• Experience in ICT-based media equipment and broadcast environments.

Age Limit

• Not more than 45 years.
• In case of retired persons, not more than 62 years

Salary

• ₹50,000 per month.

3. Producer Grade-II

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Mass Communication .
• OR
• Degree in any discipline with a Diploma in Mass Communication.

Experience

• Three years' experience in film or TV programme production.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in development and dissemination of Media/ICT content.
• Experience of working with Media and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for children and education.
• National/International recognition, awards, or publications.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons, 62 years

Salary

• ₹42,000 per month.

4. Production Assistant

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in

• Mass Communication
• Journalism
• Institute
• OR
• Bachelor's Degree in any subject with a Diploma in Mass Communication/Journalism.

Experience

• Two years' work experience in TV Production.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in TV script writing and programme production.
• Good knowledge of Hindi and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and video editing software.
• Experience in editing, graphics, conferencing, and media production activities.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons from Government organizations, not more than 65 years.

Salary

• ₹50,000 per month.

5. Cameraman (Grade-II)

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in Media Production & Management / Mass Communication,
• OR
• Graduate in any discipline with a Diploma in Photography, Videography, Cinematography, Film Production, or Performing Arts

Experience

• Three years' experience in photography, videography, editing, dubbing, sound recording, and camera handling.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons from Government organizations, 65 years.

Salary

• ₹42,000 per month.

6. Video Editor

Educational Qualification

• PG in Mass Communication & Journalism with 55% marks.
• OR
• Graduate with 55% marks and PG Diploma in Video Editing with 55% marks.

Experience

• One year experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons from Government organizations, 65 years.

Salary

• ₹50,000 per month.

7. Graphic Designer

Educational Qualification

• Graduation in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Design, Animation, Applied Arts,
• 0R
• Graduate Degree in any discipline with a one-year Diploma in Graphics, Animation, Computer Application, Media Production & Management, or Mass Communication.

Experience

• Three years' working experience in the relevant area.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in media/IT content development and dissemination.
• Experience of working with Media/ICT for children education.
• Experience in Computer Graphics, Book Design, and Interface Design.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons from Government organizations, not more than 65 years

Salary

• ₹50,000 per month.

8. Computer Typist

Educational Qualification

•  12th Pass or Graduate with knowledge of Computer Application and Typing (Hindi/English/Urdu).

Typing Speed

• 35 w.p.m. in English and 30 w.p.m. in Hindi/Urdu.

Desirable Qualification

• Minimum one year experience in computer typing work.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Age Limit

• 45 years.
• In case of retired persons from Government organizations, 65 years

Salary 

• As per GNCT minimum wages of Meghalaya

9.  ECCE Teacher

Educational Qualification

• NTT, D.El.Ed., or Diploma in ECCE/ECE from a recognized institution.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience as an ECCE Teacher in Nursery, Pre-school, Balvatika, or Anganwadi.
• Knowledge of Hindi, English, and Khasi.
• Proficiency in Computer.

Age Limit

•  Not above 30 years.

Salary

• ₹31,000 per month.

10.     ECCE  Lady Helper

Educational Qualification

• Class 10 Pass.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience of working in a Nursery, Pre-school, Balvatika, or Anganwadi.

Age Limit

• Preferably between 18 and 35 years.

Salary

• ₹15,000 per month.

The duly filled application form must be submitted along with self-attested copies of relevant documents at the time of document verification and interview.

1. Report at NERIE, Shillong on the scheduled interview date.
2. Reach the venue between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM for attendance and document verification.
3. Submit the prescribed application form duly filled in.
4. Carry self-attested copies of educational and experience certificates.
5. Bring one recent passport-size photograph.
6. Produce all original documents for verification.
7. Attend the walk-in interview after successful document verification.
