Goalpara KGBV Recruitment 2026 – Teacher Vacancies Under Samagra Shiksha

The Office of the District Mission Co-ordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Goalpara has invited applications from eligible female candidates for engagement as teachers in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV-III) at Jaleswar, Matia, Lakhipur and Kharmuja in Goalpara district, Assam.

The recruitment is being conducted for Full-Time Assistant Teacher and Part-Time Assistant Teacher positions in different subjects. A total of 7 teaching vacancies are available for Assamese, Mathematics, History, Chemistry and Physics.

The engagement will be purely contractual and subject to the terms and conditions prescribed by Samagra Shiksha, Assam. Selected Full-Time Assistant Teachers will be required to stay in the school hostel campus and perform residential-school duties as prescribed.

Reservation

All Full-Time and Part-Time Assistant Teacher posts are reserved for female candidates.

Educational Qualification

1. Full-Time Assistant Teacher

Candidates applying for the Full-Time Assistant Teacher position should have:

• A Master's Degree in the concerned subject.
• B.Ed. degree from a recognised university.
• Higher Secondary TET qualification.
• Preference will be given to candidates having teaching experience at the UP/HS/HSS level.

If Higher Secondary TET Qualified Candidates Are Not Available

If suitable candidates possessing Higher Secondary TET qualification are not available, candidates having the following qualification may also be considered:

• Master's Degree in the concerned subject.
• B.Ed. from a recognised university.
• Teaching experience at the UP/HS/HSS level will be preferred.

2. Part-Time Assistant Teacher

For the Part-Time Assistant Teacher post, candidates should have:

• A Master's Degree in the concerned subject.
• B.Ed. degree from a recognised university.
• Higher Secondary TET qualification.

If Higher Secondary TET Qualified Candidates Are Not Available

In case Higher Secondary TET-qualified candidates are not available, candidates possessing a Master's Degree in the concerned subject along with B.Ed. may be considered, with preference given to candidates having teaching experience at the UP/HS/HSS level.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age - 45 Years
• Age Calculation Date - 01 January 2026
• Date of Birth: 02 January 1980 or later

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration according to the post and TET qualification.

Residential School Requirement

KGBVs are residential schools for girls. Therefore, the Full-Time Assistant Teacher will be required to:

• Stay in the school hostel campus.
• Remain available for residential-school duties on working days.
• Perform duties during the entire working period, except during prescribed vacation periods.
• Follow the responsibilities assigned under the KGBV residential-school system.

Selection Process

• The selection process will involve shortlisting, document verification and interview.
• The department will publish the list of shortlisted candidates along with the date, venue and time for document verification-cum-interview.
• Candidates should note that no separate call letter will be issued for the interview. Applicants must therefore regularly check the relevant official notice/website and notice board for updates.
