EMRS Assam Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Apply for TGT & PGT Posts
The Assam State Level EMRS Society under the Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Assam has released a detailed advertisement for the recruitment of Guest Teachers for Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Assam. Eligible permanent residents of Assam can apply for various TGT and PGT posts on a purely temporary basis for the academic session 2026-27.

AGE LIMIT
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 55 Years as on 01 April 2026
- Retired teachers from State Government/KVS/NVS/recognized CBSE schools may also apply.
- Maximum age limit for retired teachers is 62 years.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
1. For TGT Posts
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects in aggregate.
- B.Ed degree from a recognized university/autonomous institute approved by NCTE
- Must have qualified CTET/STET.
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
2. For PGT Posts
- Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject.
- For PGT Commerce, candidates must have studied Accountancy and Business Studies at Graduation level.
- B.Ed degree from a recognized institution approved by NCTE
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
SALARY DETAILS

SELECTION PROCESSS
The interview for engagement of Guest Teachers will be conducted at the District Level for the concerned EMRS of the district.
The selection process will be based on:
- Marks obtained in Graduation
- Marks obtained in B.Ed
- Previous teaching experience
- Assessment Criteria as under:-

| B.Ed Percentage | 1 mark for every percent |
| Teaching Experience | 1 mark for every completed year |
| Maximum Experience Marks | 10 Marks |
HOW TO APPLY
- Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications at the office of the respective District Commissioner of the concerned EMRS district.
- Candidates who want to apply for more than one district must submit separate applications for each district and also appear separately in the interview process.

- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents and certificates.
- Submit the completed application to the office of the District Commissioner, of respective District.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO APPLY
- The engagement is purely temporary.
- Guest Teachers will not have any claim for regular appointment in EMRS.
- Selected teachers may have to stay inside the school campus during the engagement period.
- Rent-free accommodation may be provided subject to availability.
- Guest Teachers will perform duties similar to regular teachers including classroom teaching, evaluation duty, co-curricular activities, invigilation, and student supervision.
- Incomplete applications may be rejected.
- Candidates should keep original documents ready during interview and verification.
