DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Apply Online – 1979 Vacancies in Delhi Government Departments

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 for recruitment to various posts in different departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi, Autonomous Bodies, and Local Bodies. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 1,979 vacancies will be filled for posts such as Junior Scientific Assistant, I.T. Assistant Grade-A, Technical Assistant (Hindi), Trained Graduate Teacher, Special Educator, Electrical Overseer/Sub-Inspector, and several other positions. Candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria can submit their online applications through the official DSSSB portal from 16 June 2026 to 15 July 2026. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

The educational qualification and experience requirements vary from post to post. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification from a recognized University/Institution as specified for the respective post.

1. For  Forensic Science Laboratory Posts

(i)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology)

•  Master's Degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology, Human Biology, Life Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology
• OR
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Zoology/Botany as one of the subjects at B.Sc. level;
• OR
• B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology.
• Experience: Nil.

(ii)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics)

•   Master's Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics
• OR
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Physics/Mathematics at B.Sc. level.
• Experience: Nil.  

(iII)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry)

• Master's Degree in Chemistry
• OR
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Chemistry at B.Sc. level.
• Experience: Nil.

(iv)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics)

•   Master's Degree in Physics
• or
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Physics studied at B.Sc. level.
• Experience: Nil.  

(v)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Documents)

•   Master's Degree in Physics, Chemistry
• or
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry studied for at least two years/four semesters at B.Sc. level.
• Experience: Nil.  

(vi)  Junior Scientific Assistant (HRD/QC)

•   Master's Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forensic Science, Psychology, Toxicology, Biotechnology, Genetics,
• or
• MCA, B.Tech or PG Diploma in Business Administration/Management (HR Specialization).
• Experience: Nil.  

(vi)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Photo)

•   Master's Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Forensic Science
• or
• B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience: Nil.  

(vii)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensic)

•   Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Physics (Electronics), Cyber Security;
• OR
• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electricals & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: Nil.  

(viii)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Crime Scene/District Mobile Forensic Unit)

•   Master's Degree in Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Toxicology, Biochemistry
• or
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science.
• Experience: Nil.  

(ix)  Junior Scientific Assistant (Finger Print)

•  Master's Degree in Physics, Chemistry
• or
• Master's Degree in Forensic Science with Physics/Chemistry studied at B.Sc. level.
• Experience: Nil.

2. For  Department of Delhi Archives

(i)  Technical Assistant (Hindi)

•   Master's Degree in Hindi/English or equivalent qualification as Hindi or English as medium of Instruction along with a recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation or two years' translation experience.

Experience

• Diploma/Certificate in Translation;
• OR
• Two years' translation experience from Hindi to English and vice versa in a Government or Government undertaking office

(ii)  Assistant Archivist Grade-I

• Master’s Degree in History with a paper in Modern Indian History from a recognized University.
• Diploma in Archives and Record Management from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Qualification

• Certificate Course in Microsoft Office from a recognized Institution.

3. For Other Posts

On the other hand, for Post Codes 21/26 to 33/26, 35/26 to 38/26, and 45/26, candidates must also appear for a 100-mark Subject Concerned/Domain Subject section specific to the post applied for. In these posts, each of the five common sections carries 20 marks instead of 40 marks. Therefore, the exam pattern is as follows:

7. Pay the application fee, if applicable, through the prescribed online payment mode.
8. Review all entered details before final submission.
