EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent from a Central Govt./State Govt. recognized Institution/University in any of the following disciplines:

1. Telecommunications

2. Electronics

3. Radio

4. Computer

5. Electrical

6. Information Technology (IT)

7. Instrumentation

OR

M.Sc. (Electronics) / M.Sc. (Computer Science)

Note:-The candidates possessing higher qualifications viz. M.Tech in the prescribed

disciplines as mentioned above shall also be eligible to appear in the Direct

Recruitment (DR) examination.

AGE LIMIT

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• The upper age limit will be calculated as on the closing date of application submission.

AGE RELAXATION

Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government rules.

• OBC Candidates: 3 Years
• SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
• wBD Candidates: Up to 15 Years
• BSNL Employees: Additional relaxation as per rules

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates applying for BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026 are required to pay the examination fee through online mode only.

Category-wise Application Fee

• UR / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 2000/-
• SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: Rs. 1000/-

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process for BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through a Computer-Based Multiple Choice Objective Type Examination. Candidates will have to appear in an online objective-type examination consisting of the following three sections:  

1. Engineering Stream Section-I
2. Engineering Stream Section-II
3. General Ability Test Section-III

Exam Pattern

• Mode of Exam: Online
• Type of Questions: Objective Type MCQs
• Duration: 3 Hours
• Total Questions: 120
• Total Marks: 480
• Negative Marking: Yes

Standard of Examination

• The engineering subject papers will be based on the standard of an Engineering Degree Examination of an Indian University.
• The General Ability Test will evaluate candidates on general awareness, reasoning and understanding expected from an Engineering Graduate.

Normalization of Marks

If the examination is conducted in multiple sessions, BSNL may adopt a normalization process for preparing the final scores.

Merit List and Document Verification

• Final merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the examination.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
• The date and venue for document verification will be notified later by BSNL.

Medical Examination

Selected candidates must successfully pass the medical examination prescribed by BSNL before final appointment.

Before starting the online registration process for BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026, candidates should keep the following documents and details ready:

1. Valid Mobile Number and E-mail ID for OTP verification and future communication.
2. Recent Passport Size Colour Photograph with white background in JPG/JPEG format.
3. Scanned Signature in JPG/JPEG format. File Size: 10 KB to 20 KB
4. Class 10th Certificate or Admit Card as proof of Date of Birth.
5. Degree Certificate of the required educational qualification.
6. Consolidated Marksheet or Transcript of all semesters/years of the qualifying degree.
7. Valid Photo Identity Proof
8. Reservation Certificate for candidates belonging to reserved categories
9. Medical Certificate for PwBD candidates, if applicable.
