Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (AVS), Assam has released an official notification inviting eligible permanent residents of Assam to attend a Walk-in Interview for the post of Accountant. The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis for 11 months with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. Interested candidates must appear for the interview on 11 August 2026 at the Conference Hall of AV Sangathan, Kahilipara, Guwahati.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• M.Com from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Computer Certificate/Diploma of at least 6 months duration.
• Good knowledge of Tally Software.

Experience Required

Applicants should have:

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in budgeting, accounting, financial management, or related work in reputed institutions/organizations.

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Experience in Government programmes or externally aided projects.
• Knowledge of Government Accounting.
• Knowledge of Income Tax, GST and other taxation.

Age Limit

Salary

Selected candidates will receive:

• ₹25,000 per month (Fixed)
• 3% Annual Increment in case of continuation of service.

The selection process includes:

• Document Verification (from 9:30 AM)
• Aptitude Test
• Writing Skill Test
• Computer Literacy Test
• Personal Interview by the Selection Committee.
