Army Public School (APS), Dinjan, Dibrugarh, Assam, has released a recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Primary Teacher (PRT) on an ad hoc basis for the academic session 2026–27. Interested candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled for 16 November 2026 at Army Public School, Dinjan.

Educational Qualification

1. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

• Four years' Integrated Degree Course from a Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

• Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade.

• Three-year Integrated B.Ed./M.Ed.

OR

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects and in aggregate in one of the following combinations:

Additional Requirements for TGT:

• B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with a minimum of 50% marks.

• CTET/Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by CBSE/State Government, in accordance with NCTE guidelines.

• Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium.

• Knowledge of Computer Application.

2. Primary Teacher (PRT)

• Graduate degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• B.El.Ed. or 02-year D.El.Ed.

OR

• Teachers who were already in service with Army Public Schools/APPS prior to 11 August 2023 with a B.Ed. degree can also apply/continue, subject to enrolment/completion of the Bridge Course launched by NCTE.

Additional Requirements For (PRT):

• CTET/Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by CBSE/State Government, as per NCTE guidelines.
• Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium.
• Knowledge of Computer Application.

Age Limit and Teaching Experience:

• The age and experience criteria for candidates will be calculated as on 01 April 2026.

Important Points:

1. Five years of teaching experience is mandatory in the appropriate category during the last ten years.
2. For the post of PRT, experience gained as PRT shall be accepted.
3. Experience must be as per the extant qualifications laid down by regulatory bodies.

Salary

• Selected candidates will receive a salary as per Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) guidelines.

Application Fee

• The application fee must be submitted through a Demand Draft of ₹250 drawn in favour of Army Public School, Dinjan.

Important Relaxations and Conditions:

1. If fully qualified teachers are not available for an interview, the management may invite less-qualified candidates.
2. Working QR is not mandatory for ad hoc appointment but is preferred.
3. CTET/TET is not mandatory.
4. Primary Teacher (PRT) applicants with a B.Ed. degree without a Bridge Course may be appointed in ad hoc vacancies after approval from the competent authority/school management.
5. If an adequate number of eligible/fully qualified applications are not received for a particular post, candidates with relatively lesser or marginally deficient qualifications may be appointed on an ad hoc basis only with approval from the competent authority/school management.
