Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (KBVSASU), Namati, Nalbari, has invited online applications for admission into various Post Graduate (PG) and Ph.D. programmes for the Academic Session 2026-27.

Admission will be conducted through the KBVPGET-2026 and KBVRET-2026 entrance examinations for PG and Ph.D. courses respectively.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1. For Veda Vedanga, Darshana and Sahitya & Sanskriti Faculties

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following qualifications:

• Graduate with Major/Honours in Sanskrit securing at least 40% marks
• Graduate with Sanskrit as a subject in the Pass Course securing at least 40% marks
• Qualified Shastri Examination
• Graduate in any discipline with basic knowledge of Sanskrit securing at least 40% marks

2. For Ancient Studies Faculty

Yoga Vigyan

• Graduate in any discipline securing at least 40% marks
• 5% relaxation in marks for OBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates.

LL.M. in Ancient Indian Jurisprudence

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with minimum 50 % marks
• 5% relaxation in marks for OBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates.

3. For Humanities and Social Science Faculties

• Graduate with Major/Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 40% marks

HOW TO APPLY

• Visit the KBVS&ASU Portal through the link provided in the table
• Register on the portal before filling out the online application form.
• After successful registration, a password will be generated by the system.
• Use your own mobile number and e-mail ID during registration
• Fill in the online application form carefully and upload the required documents.
• Pay the prescribed application fee through the Payment Gateway available on the portal.
• Submit the application form and keep a printout of the system-generated acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
