EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed under the latest UGC Regulations for the post of Assistant Professor.

• Candidates should have a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade)
• Candidates must have qualified NET, SLET, or SET
• Candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC Ph.D. Regulations, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
• A 5% relaxation in minimum marks is available for SC, ST, and Differently-Abled (PwD) candidates as per UGC norms.
• The period spent obtaining an M.Phil. or Ph.D. degree will not be counted as teaching or research experience for appointment.

AGE LIMIT

• Age Limit is as per UGC norms and Government of Assam rules.

SELECTION PROCESS

Selection will be conducted according to the prescribed UGC guidelines and Government of Assam rules.

The process includes:

• Scrutiny of applications
• Interview/Screening

PREFERENCE

• Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the BTR area.

Applicants must also possess:

• Valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
• Proficiency in the local language
