Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following educational qualifications:
1. Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed 10+2 / XII with:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- English
with
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks and
- Minimum 50% marks in English
OR
Passed 3-Year Diploma in Engineering in any of the following:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Computer Science

- Information Technology
with
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks and
- Minimum 50% marks in English (or in Matriculation/Intermediate if English was not a Diploma subject).

Physical & Medical Standards
1. Height
Male Candidates
- Minimum Height: 152 cm
Female Candidates
- Minimum Height: 152 cm
Height Relaxation:
- 147 cm for female candidates belonging to North Eastern States or hilly regions of Uttarakhand.
- 150 cm for female candidates from Lakshadweep.
2. Weight
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per Indian Air Force standards.
3. Chest
Male
- Minimum Chest: 77 cm
- Chest Expansion: 5 cm
Female
- The chest wall should be well proportioned and should be with minimum range of expansion of 5 cm
4. Hearing
- Candidates should be able to hear a forced whisper from 6 metres with each ear separately.
5. Dental Standards
Candidates should have:
- Healthy gums
- Good set of teeth
- Minimum 14 dental points
- Candidates with orthodontic appliances or disallowed dental implants will be declared medically unfit.

7. General Medical Requirements
Candidates should:

- Be capable of serving anywhere in India and abroad under all climatic conditions.
- Have no history of LASIK/PRK eye surgery
- Permanent tattoos are generally not permitted except in specified cases as mentioned in the notification.
- Female candidates must not be pregnant during recruitment or service.
Salary
- Selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveervayu under the Agnipath Scheme for a period of four years.
- During this period, they will receive a monthly customized package with annual increments.
- In addition to the monthly salary, candidates will also receive Risk & Hardship Allowance (as applicable), Dress Allowance, Travel Allowance, free ration, accommodation, medical facilities, CSD facilities, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC)
- At the end of the four-year service, eligible Agniveervayu will receive the Seva Nidhi Package.
- Agniveervayu will not be entitled to pension or gratuity.
