Indian Air Force Agniveervayu (Musician) Recruitment 2027 Notification Out – Apply Online

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveervayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027, inviting online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates across all States and Union Territories of India. Eligible candidates can participate in the pre-registered recruitment rally scheduled from 31 August 2026 to 09 September 2026 at New Delhi and Bengaluru. Candidates who have passed Matriculation (Class 10) with musical proficiency and the required music experience certificate can apply online from 20 July 2026 to 02 August 2026.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Passed Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Central, State or UT Government Board.
• Must possess excellent musical ability with proper tempo, pitch and singing capability.
• Must be proficient in playing at least one musical instrument from the prescribed list.
• Should possess any one of the required Musical Experience Certificates such as Grade-5 certificate, Diploma in Music, or participation/award certificates as prescribed in the notification.

• Keyboard/Organ/Piano

• Percussion/Drums
• Indian Classical Instruments

Age Limit & Date of Birth

• Maximum Age - Candidate should not be above 22 years on the date of enrolment
• Date of Birth - Born on or after 01 January 2005 and on or before 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive)

Marital Status

• Only Unmarried Male and Female candidates are eligible.
• Marriage during the four-year engagement period is not permitted.
• Female candidates must also undertake not to become pregnant during the engagement period.

Physical Standards

Male

• Height: 162 cm
• Chest: 77 cm (Minimum)
• Chest Expansion: 5 cm

Female

• Height: 152 cm
• Height relaxation available for eligible North-East, Uttarakhand Hilly Region and Lakshadweep candidates.

Salary

Seva Nidhi Package

• After successful completion of four years of service, Agniveervayu will receive approximately ₹10.04 lakh as Seva Nidhi Package (excluding interest).

• All Candidates - ₹100 + 18% GST

Selection Process

Candidates will undergo the following stages:

1. Document Verification
2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I & PFT-II)
3. English Written Test
4. Music Proficiency Test
5. Medical Examination
6. Final Merit List

Physical Fitness Test

Male Candidates

• 1.6 Km Run – Within 7 Minutes
• 10 Push-ups
• 10 Sit-ups
• 20 Squats

Female Candidates

• 1.6 Km Run – Within 8 Minutes
• 10 Sit-ups
• 15 Squats

Eligible candidates should follow these steps:

1. Visit the official IAF recruitment portal.
2. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
3. Fill in the online application form carefully.

During online registration, you must choose two preferences from these two rally venues:

1. 2 ASC, Race Course Camp, Air Force Station, New Delhi
2. 7 ASC, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka

For Assam Candidates

• You can apply from Assam.
• There is no recruitment rally in Assam for the Musician intake.
• You will have to travel to either New Delhi or Bengaluru, depending on the venue allotted in your Provisional Admit Card.
