RECRUITMENT OVERVIEW

SALARY

• Pay Level-16 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Salary: Rs. 2,05,400 – Rs. 2,24,400 plus admissible allowances
• Consolidated pay may also be recommended by the Search-cum-Selection Committee.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Nationality & Age

• Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Maximum age should not be above 67 years.

2. Educational Qualification

• Candidate must be a retired eminent Scientist/Technologist/Technocrat.
• Must possess a Ph.D. degree.

3. Experience

• Minimum 15 years post-Ph.D. experience in R&D Institutes/Laboratories, Academic Institutes
• Candidates should have experience in Programme management, Policy development, Roadmap creation, Management of Scientists and Technologists

TENURE

• Appointment will be on a full-time contractual basis.
• Initial tenure: 3 years or up to 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.
• May be extended by another 3 years in exceptional cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing recruitment and assessment of Scientists in CSIR.
2. Recruitment of senior technical positions.
3. Implementing CSRAP Rules.
4. Ensuring transparency and efficiency in recruitment processes.
5. Coordinating with experts for selection committees.
