Educational Qualification & Experience
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
Option 1
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Geography
- Geology
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Science
- And Along with a Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geo-Informatics.
OR
Option 2
- M.Tech./M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics.
OR
Option 3
- M.C.A./M.A./M.Sc. in Geography, Geology, Mathematics or Environmental Science with Geo-Informatics as one of the subjects or a Certificate/Diploma in GIS/Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics.
Desirable Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates having:
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper or similar GIS software.
- Knowledge of spatial data formats such as Shape Files, GeoJSON and KML.
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis, image processing and drone survey techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Previous GIS-related work experience or internship (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience
- Preference will be given to candidates having minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Preference will also be given to RCCC trained candidates possessing the required educational qualifications and command over GIS.
Salary
- Selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of ₹25,000 per month.
Job Responsibilities
The selected GIS Assistants will be responsible for:
- Digitization of geospatial data of cadastral and non-cadastral villages.
- Performing GIS quality assurance checks.
- Preparing GIS reports, presentations and visualizations.
- Providing GIS technical support.
- Maintaining GIS process documentation.
- Drone photo/HRSI interpretation.
- Keeping updated with the latest GIS technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
Candidates should have:
- Proficiency in Arc Desktop, ArcPro, AutoCAD and Global Mapper.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs/Sheets.
