Government of Assam AHIDMS Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in Opportunity
The Assam Health Infrastructure Development & Management Society (AHIDMS), under the Medical Education & Research Department (MERD), Government of Assam, has invited applications for a walk-in interview for engagement on a contractual basis under the World Bank funded Assam State Secondary Healthcare Initiative for Service Delivery Transformation (ASSIST) Project.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess a Master Degree in any of the following disciplines :
- MD in Community Medicine
- MSc Nursing
- Masters in Hospital Administration
- Masters in Public Health
- Masters in Health Care Management
- Masters in Hospital Management
Experience
Candidates should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in Health Care Quality Systems such as NQAS, NABH, NABL, etc.
- Experience in NABH accreditation for a multi-specialty hospital with 200+ beds.
- Experience in gap assessment and quality improvement support for health facilities and Medical College Hospitals.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality monitoring and implementation of health service improvement systems.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of English, Hindi, and Assamese.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders and build rapport.
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
AGE LIMIT
- Up to 55 years as on 1 January 2026.
SALARY
- ₹90,000 to ₹1,20,000 per month .
- TA/DA for official travel will be paid .
- Higher remuneration may be considered for exceptionally talented candidates.
TENURE OF THE JOB
- The engagement is purely contractual.
- The initial tenure will be 11 months
- Extendable based on satisfactory performance and project requirements.

- ASSIST is a World Bank-supported healthcare project in Assam.
- The project aims to improve management capacity and quality of secondary healthcare services.
- Focus on strengthening healthcare systems at the State and District levels.
- Supports NABH accreditation of Medical College Hospitals.
- Aims to improve efficiency, accountability, and healthcare service delivery.
- SIPA&QIS will support quality improvement and Internal Performance Agreement (IPA) initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate quality improvement activities at the State level.
- Support Medical College Hospitals in obtaining NABH accreditation.
- Manage quality improvement and assessment agencies.
- Develop capacity of internal assessors under NQAS, LaQshya, and MusQan.
- Implement and monitor Internal Performance Agreement (IPA) systems.
- Conduct assessments and field visits for quality improvement initiatives.
- Review project activities, documentation, and verification processes.
- Support policy development for quality healthcare services.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Project Director.
