APSC CCE Prelims Exam Date 2026 Announced: Check Exam Schedule & Admit Card Details

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has officially announced the examination schedule for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025. The preliminary examination will be conducted on 5 July 2026 across 35 district headquarters of Assam. Candidates who have applied for the examination can check complete exam timings, admit card details, and important instructions below.

Important Notice for PwBD Candidates Regarding Scribe Facility

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued an important notification for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates appearing in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 scheduled to be held on 5th July 2026.

Candidates belonging to the following categories who require the assistance of a scribe must submit their request to APSC on or before 15th June 2026 during office hours:

• Blindness (VI)
• Locomotor Disability (Both Arms Affected-BA)
• Cerebral Palsy

The application for a scribe must include the candidate's name, application ID, and supporting disability certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon, or Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution in the prescribed format.

Candidates who wish to arrange their own scribe are also required to inform the Commission by submitting the name and address of the scribe along with the prescribed undertaking form on or before 15th June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
• The qualification must be completed before submission of application

Other Eligibility

• Must be an Indian Citizen
• Must be able to speak Assamese or any other official language of Assam
• Must be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

3. Login and fill out the application form
4. Upload required documents: Photograph Signature Educational certificates Caste certificate (if applicable)
5. Pay the application fee
6. Submit the form and take a printout

Important Instructions

• Only online applications will be accepted
• Candidates must ensure all details are correct before submission
• Incomplete applications will be rejected
• Admit card will be available online only
• No request for change of exam centre will be entertained
• Providing false information may lead to cancellation

APSC CCE Admit Card 2026

APSC will upload the list of candidates along with Roll Numbers on 8 June 2026. The e-Admission Certificate will be available from 15 June 2026 on the official website of APSC.

Candidates must download their admit cards online as no admit card will be sent by post.

How to Download APSC CCE Admit Card 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to download their admit card:

2. Open the Admit Card section.
3. Click on the APSC CCE Prelims Admit Card 2026 link.
4. Enter required login credentials.
5. Download and print the admit card for future use.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

• Objective type (MCQ)
• Two papers:General Studies I – 200 MarksGeneral Studies II – 200 Marks
  • General Studies I – 200 Marks
  • General Studies II – 200 Marks
• Duration: 2 hours each
• Negative marking applicable
• This stage is qualifying in nature

2. Main Examination

• Written Examination
• Interview / Personality Test (180 Marks)

Final merit will be based on Main Exam and Interview performance
