Assam Government Securities Auction 2026 – ₹1,000 Crore 10-Year Government Stock Auction
The Government of Assam, Finance (Budget) Department, Ways & Means Branch has announced the auction of 10-year Assam Government Stock (Securities) for an aggregate amount of ₹1,000 crore. The auction will be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mumbai Office on 21 July 2026.
Eligible investors and bidders may participate through Competitive Bids or Non-Competitive Bids, subject to the prescribed auction procedure. The successful bidders will be required to make payment on 22 July 2026.

Details of the Government Securities Auction
- The Government of Assam has offered to sell dated securities amounting to ₹1,000 crore through the auction of 10-year tenure Government Stock.
- The auction is scheduled to be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India at its Mumbai Office, Fort, Mumbai – 400001, on 21 July 2026.
Competitive Bids
- All competitive bids must be submitted electronically through the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) System.
- However, other than CBS members, eligible participants may route their competitive bids through a CBS member.
- Competitive bids can be submitted between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the day of the auction.
Non-Competitive Bids
- Under the Non-Competitive Bidding Scheme, an investor can submit a single bid only in the auction of a State Government Security, subject to a maximum of 1% of the notified amount, either directly or through a bank or Primary Dealer.
- Non-competitive bids must be submitted electronically through the CBS between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the auction day.
- No bids under the Non-Competitive Bidding Scheme will be accepted after 11:00 AM.
Bids in Physical Format
- No bids will ordinarily be accepted in physical format for auctions of State Government Securities.
- Physical bids may be considered only in extraordinary situations as specified by the Reserve Bank of India.
How to Participate in the Auction
- Eligible bidders should submit their bids electronically through the prescribed Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) System.
- Competitive bidders who are not CBS members may route their bids through an eligible CBS member.

Auction Result and Payment
- The Reserve Bank of India will display the auction result on its website on the same day as the auction.
- Successful bidders must make payment for the allotted securities on 22 July 2026.
Interest Rate and Interest Payment
- The rate of interest, or the cut-off yield determined at the auction, will serve as the coupon rate per annum on the Government Stock sold through the auction.
- Interest on the securities will be paid on 22 January and 22 July.
SLR Eligibility
- Investment in the Government Stock will be recognised as an eligible investment in Government Securities by banks for the purpose of Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) under Section 24 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
- The stocks will qualify for the ready forward facility.
