UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 Admit Card Released
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the e-Admit Card for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026. Candidates who have successfully applied for the examination can now download their admit cards from here.
UPSC Prelims 2026 Exam Date
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 will be conducted on 24th May 2026 (Sunday) across various examination centres in India.
UPSC Admit Card 2026 Released
UPSC has uploaded the e-Admit Cards for all eligible candidates on its official website. No paper admit card will be sent by post. Candidates must download and print their e-Admit Card before the examination.

Important Instructions for Candidates
Carry Printed Admit Card
Candidates must carry a printed copy of their e-Admit Card to the examination venue. Without the admit card, entry to the examination hall will not be allowed.
Bring Valid Photo Identity Proof
Candidates must also carry a valid Photo ID proof whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card.
If Photograph is Unclear
If the photograph on the admit card is unclear or blurred, candidates must carry:
- A valid photo identity card
- Two passport-size photographs
- An undertaking
Reporting Time
Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre well before the commencement of the exam for verification and frisking procedures.
Gate Closing Time
Entry to the examination venue will be closed:
- 9:00 AM for the Forenoon Session
- 2:00 PM for the Afternoon Session
- No candidate will be allowed to enter after the gate closing time.
Prohibited Items Inside Examination Hall
Candidates are not allowed to carry:
- Mobile phones
- Smart watches
- Digital gadgets
- Books and bags
- Any electronic communication devices
Black Ball Point Pen Mandatory
Candidates must carry a Black Ball Point Pen for filling OMR sheets and attendance sheets during the examination.
Simple Wrist Watches Allowed
Only normal/simple wrist watches are allowed inside the examination hall. Smart watches or watches with communication features are strictly prohibited.
Name Change Documents
Candidates who have changed their name after matriculation must carry:
- Government-issued Photo ID
- Original Gazette Notification regarding the name change
Important Points to Remember
- Download the admit card before the examination date.
- Verify all details mentioned on the admit card carefully.
- Reach the examination centre early.
- Carry valid ID proof along with admit card.
- Do not carry banned electronic items.
- Carry Black Ball Point Pen for the exam.
- Preserve the admit card till final result declaration.
