NERIE Shillong is one of the constituent units of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission into the B.Ed programme will be held on:   28 June 2026 (Sunday)

Eligibility Criteria

For 2-year B.Ed. programme at NERIE, Shillong:

1. Only the candidates from the States of (1)Arunachal Pradesh, (2) Assam, (3) Manipur, (4) Meghalaya, (5) Mizoram, (6) Nagaland, (7)Sikkim, and (8) Tripura are eligible to apply.
2. Bachelor in Science / Bachelorin Engineering / Technology (withspecialization in Science or Mathematics) / Bachelor in Social Science / Humanities

NERIE Shillong B.Ed Seat Matrix 2026

NERIE Shillong has released the state-wise and category-wise seat distribution for admission into the 2-year B.Ed Programme through CEE 2026. A total of 50 seats are available for candidates from different North Eastern states.

Important Notes Regarding Seat Reservation

• The distribution of seats is based on the category-wise quota of the respective states.
• 25 seats are reserved for the Science and Mathematics Group.
• 25 seats are reserved for the Social Science and Language Group.
• A total of 5 seats are reserved under the EWS category from both streams.
• Reservation under the PwD category will be provided as per NCERT norms.
• Candidates are advised to carefully check the seat reservation details before applying for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026.
